When I voted for Bush, I voted for what I thought was the lesser of two evils. A man who would do no harm to economy, would control spending, a man who I thought was honest and ethical, has a good education, a Christian, and a good family man.
Four years under Bush doctrine has separated us from the collective wisdom of our allies, racked up trillions of dollars in new debt, and shown us that we cannot trust the honesty and judgement of our most esteemed leaders. His leadership has failed us. His ethics are questionable.
Enter McCain-Palin. The McCain ticked has placed a female on the ballot simply to win my female vote? One who is not familiar with the issues? One who proclaims honesty but who has routinely stretched the truth during the first few weeks after the Republican convention?.
That tactic has failed to shore up the independent and undecided vote. Now, they move with an all-out attack on the honesty and integrity of Obama, his credibility, his voting record, his family, his faith.
Whoever wins has quite a challenge cleaning up the mess. Restoring confidence in our elected officials and our democracy.
